Yes my best friend, whom was tragically killed May 1, has a book that is finally going to be coming out. As you've guessed it's name is Crimson Shards. I submitted the Cover of the book (which was the character design) to the publishing center so they could work with it and put it on the cover. I just had my heart ripped out.
I received an email from my friend's parents of two examples for the book cover. The background design is great, the main character himself...They disregarded my drawing all together. ignoring it to cheaply photo shop what looks like a Jonas brother and Aragorn on the two examples.
If my computer let me work my tablet or photoshop, which was taken away when it crashed, i would have just done it myself. Correctly. Instead i feel like utter shit and hope that the next example won't punch me in the gut again. I know it's her parents choice, and i also know she wanted me to draw the cover...why am i having trouble speaking up? I want this to work out, i was never able to finish the book. I had been in the middle of reading it when the accident happened, all i can say is getting that email hurt.
